Bio: I grew up in Mt Airy, NC. I moved to Raleigh to attend NCSU & graduated with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy (while taking a couple of classes at UNC along the way). I then moved to Chapel Hill with my now husband who is a graduate student at UNC, and worked at Carrboro Plaza Vet for 3 years all the while volunteering, interning, & working for various political campaigns (on the national, state, & local level, most recently as the Volunteer Coordinator with the Mark Kleinschmidt for Mayor campaign) & causes (which includes the occasional protest & rally, as well as speaking out on the radio, in print, or on TV whenever the opportunity arises), before returning to NCSU for graduate school in the Master of Public Administration program.
